Author
Hawaiian Petroglyph Preserver

Edward Stasack was born in Chicago, Illinois in 1929, the son of a sculptor, furniture designer and builder. He graduated with a degree in Painting from the University of Illinois in 1956 and was immediately hired by the University of Hawaii to help bolster their impressive line-up of young artists. Thus began a life-long love affair with the Islands, its Petroglyphs, and the Aina — or land.

Recognized internationally for his prints, Stasack’s paintings and prints can be found in museums and collections around the world. Although his contributions as an artist have been prolific he has dedicated his life to the preservation and recording of Hawaiian Petroglyphs. In partnership with the love of his life, Diane Stasack, they have devoted their time and resources to ensuring that the enduring legacy of Hawaiin Rock Art will be preserved.
